Outreach & Community Connections
At Lakeside Community Chapel, outreach is more than a program—it’s the heart of who we are. We believe in shining the light of Christ by serving our neighbors, opening our doors, and creating spaces where our community can gather, grow, and support one another.
If there is a specific program or type of support you are looking for, we encourage you to reach out. We’re happy to connect you with the right resources or help you get involved.
The Gathering Place
Right next door to the chapel, The Gathering Place serves as a welcoming space for community life. This versatile space hosts a variety of programs, classes, support groups, and events that strengthen connection and meet the diverse needs of our neighbors. From community meetings to educational workshops and special gatherings, The Gathering Place is designed to be a warm, open, and supportive environment for all.
If you are interested in using The Gathering Place or either sanctuary (historic and newer) for your event or group, we invite you to reach out for rental inquiries.

Relief for Libby and Troy: On Saturday, December 20th, leaders and members of Lakeside Community Chapel packed twenty-nine flood buckets, and together with United Methodist churches in Polson, Ronan, Bigfork, and Columbia Falls, prepared and loaded a total of seventy-five flood buckets to assist the communities of Libby and Troy, which were severely impacted by recent flooding. These congregations are among the UMC churches that make up the Greater Flathead Circuit. We give thanks to Susanne Vining Atkinson and Trina Stivers for spearheading this special effort, and to all who donated funds and supplies and who came to lend a helping hand with assembling the buckets. We are also grateful that Pastor Lucy of Eidsvold Lutheran Church joined us in this work. We praise God for stirring compassionate hearts and willing hands, and for the spirit of service shared among us.
